In the attempt to live extraordinary spiritual lives - to live up to some fictitious vision of the perfect Christian, we miss the reality that the Gospel life is one of normal activities lived with abnormal power of the Spirit. So we need to work our mediocre job, live in our boring neighborhoods, and enjoy our safe hobbies all with the vivid reality that who we are and where we live was orchestrated by God so that the world might witness Jesus as they see His people live their normal lives under His extraordinary rule.
